Mortgage Processor and Closing Specialist
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Summary of Responsibilities include:
  • Performs a wide range of duties related to the processing and closing of residential mortgages
  • Maintains contact with external and internal customers to ensure workflow deadlines are met.
  • Ensures mortgage applications are entered in the loan processing system and maintains the integrity of the loan data from application to closing.
  • Prepares closing documents and performs compliance reviews in order to close conforming and non-conforming mortgage loans.
Essential Skills to perform the job include:
  • Knowledge of the complete mortgage lending process.
  • Multi-tasking and ability to meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
  • Bachelor’s degree; or three to five years related experience and/or training.

FT Commercial Loan Processor

This position will process and prepare loan documentation requests from commercial lenders for all commercial loan types, including but not limited to all assets, equipment, real estate, lines of credit, and letters of credit.

This position will also serve as the Administrative Assistant for the Corporate Office as needed.

Minimum knowledge and skills required:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience including 3 - 5 years commercial loan document preparation experience
  • Experience with ARTA Lending or similar commercial loan origination system; solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent service orientation and team approach
  • Excellent administrative skills

Full-Time Personal Banker – Jenison Office

Responsibilities include:
  • Meet with customers to discuss personal and business financial needs. Recommend ways in which the bank can meet their needs.
  • Provide customer service including: transaction processing, account opening, resolving customer product and service problems and concerns including consumer loans, statements, etc.
  • Provides ongoing relationship service with current customers to maintain good will and gain additional business as inside sales representative.
  • Cross-sell the full range of personal and business banking services to present and potential customers. Must promote and cross-sell other departments products and services as appropriate.
  • Accept consumer loan applications, recommend loan decisions, and close consumer loans adhering to loan policy, procedures and regulations.
  • Generate new business to assist in meeting bank and branch profitability goals.
  • Perform Teller functions as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years experience as a Personal Banker
  • Must have proven sales ability to develop client relationships in deposits and loans as well as refer clients to tailored bank products
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
